STADIUM HISTORY

SoFi Stadium opened in 2020 as the joint home of the Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers — the most expensive stadium ever built ($5.5 billion). Capacity 70,240. Features a distinctive translucent ETFE roof and the world's largest indoor LED video display. Hosted Super Bowl LVI (2022), the College Football National Championship, and Olympic Opening / Closing ceremonies as part of LA's hosting of the 2028 Olympics. Selected for WC2026 group-stage matches plus a quarter-final.

GETTING THERE & LOCAL CONDITIONS

Located in Inglewood, California, 5 km north of Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) — 10 minutes by car. The new Inglewood Transit Connector light rail provides direct LAX-to-stadium service for WC2026. June-July LA weather is mild and dry (20-25°C / 68-77°F at kickoff) with no humidity — the most tactically-favourable climate of any WC2026 venue.

Venue Betting Note

Mild, dry climate at SoFi Stadium favours technical, possession-based football. The translucent ETFE roof provides shade but does not fully enclose; matches play in genuine outdoor conditions. Expect tactical patterns close to European-spring norms (15-20°C, low humidity equivalent). Higher xG conversion rates than humid venues like Miami or Houston.
