STADIUM HISTORY

Estadio Akron (also known as Estadio Chivas) opened in 2010 as the home of Club Deportivo Guadalajara (Chivas). Capacity 49,850. Hosted multiple Liga MX Final matches and the 2011 Pan American Games. Selected for WC2026 group-stage matches plus a Round of 32 fixture.

GETTING THERE & LOCAL CONDITIONS

Located in Zapopan, Jalisco (Guadalajara metropolitan area). Guadalajara International Airport (GDL) is 20 minutes by car. June weather in Guadalajara: mild and partly cloudy (18-26°C / 65-79°F) due to elevation (~1,560m) — significantly more comfortable than coastal Mexican venues.

Venue Betting Note

Moderate altitude (1,560m) + mild climate create a tactically-balanced environment. Less extreme than Estadio Banorte (2,200m) but enough to slightly favour home-acclimatised Mexican opposition.
